FAQ

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy, also referred to as low-level laser therapy or photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to penetrate deep into tissues. As the cells absorb this light energy, a series of positive biochemical responses are triggered which can stimulate cellular function and regeneration, promote wound healing, reduce inflammation and pain, enhance skin health and more.

Red light therapy works by delivering wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to your skin and cells. The mitochondria within your body’s cells

absorb these wavelengths and convert them into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy that powers cellular function. This process can stimulate cellular repair and rejuvenation, enhance collagen production for healthier-looking skin, and reduce inflammation at a systemic level.

Extensive research has shown that red light therapy is safe for most people. It does not cause burns or skin damage like intense pulsed lights and lasers can. The treatment does not involve UV rays which are known to cause damage to the skin and increase risk of cancer. However, direct exposure to the eyes should be avoided with appropriate eye protection. Consult with a healthcare professional before beginning the treatment, especially if you have any underlying health conditions.

Do not use red light therapy without your doctor’s consent if you are pregnant or if you are taking any photosensitizing drugs like Tetracycline or Retin-A.

Most studies are short both in treatment times and study duration, but longer studies or those with follow-ups showed that even long-term use was free of adverse effects.

Be consistent: Consistency is the most important part of red light therapy. Think of it as “feeding” your cells every day. You can take a red light treatment daily. Plan on at least 3-5 sessions per week until your condition clears up. Ongoing treatments may be necessary to prevent flare-ups of chronic

conditions.

Treat clean, bare skin: The treatment area should be clean and free of any oils or lotions that could inhibit light absorption. Clothing will block light, so make sure to apply the light to bare skin.

One of the most powerful ways red light therapy can stimulate and support healing is by reducing inflammation. Reducing inflammation is the first step in managing pain, reducing skin redness, wound healing, and even reversing signs of aging. Another way this all natural treatment supports health is by increasing energy production within the individual cells. These two main benefits, along with increased blood circulation and increased collagen production, can help with a host of health conditions.

Accelerate wound healing with red light therapy. Its ability to promote tissue healing and regeneration can help heal surgical wounds, burns, cuts, abrasions, oral wounds, connective tissue damage, and even bone breaks.

Regular red light treatments could lead to improvements in performance as well as faster muscle recovery. Red light therapy can also speed up healing of sports injuries to get you back on your feet and playing your sport sooner.

Light therapy has helped treat pain associated with neuropathy, osteoarthritis, and low back pain.

Perhaps best known for its anti-aging effects, red light therapy boosts collagen and elastin production and helps mitigate the effects of chronic inflammation and sun damage to improve skin texture and reduce fine lines and wrinkles.Studies have shown significant benefits in using red light therapy to treat acne, psoriasis, and other chronic skin disorders.

Red light therapy can be used before chemotherapy or radiation to help mitigate side effects of cancer treatment.

Red Light Therapy can be used to regrow hair, help you lose weight, and even improve brain health.

It’s important to note that not every light therapy device is equal in power output and effectiveness. Large devices are the ideal choice to treat full-body conditions. Devices that emit near infrared light as well as red light necessary for deep-tissue treatments.

Integrating red light therapy into your daily routine can be as simple as spending a few minutes under the light each day. Be consistent with treatments to see optimal results.

Sit or stand 6-12” from the panel. The closer you are, the more intense the light but this will also decrease the treatment area.

Wear light-blocking goggles during the treatment. Although the light won’t harm your eyes, it’s very intense and can cause eye strain.

After 20 minutes of daily use, the returns are vastly diminishing. The cells are only capable of absorbing a finite amount of light photons at a time.

Just as you wouldn’t work out once or twice a month and expect to gain strength, infrequent red light

treatments aren’t as effective as regular sessions. A few minutes every day is more effective than a long session once in a while. Don’t overdo it… but don’t do too little: Aim for 5-20 minute daily sessions (or 3-5 times a week). You can also do short sessions several times a day, such as before and after a workout.

The timeline to see results with red light therapy can vary. For some people, noticeable benefits may appear within a few treatment sessions. Others might need a few weeks or longer depending on their specific treatment goals and how their individual bodies respond to the therapy.

Infrared Sauna

Infrared is a light wave next to the color red on the electromagnetic spectrum that is invisible to the human eye but felt as heat. In fact, you’ve likely come in contact with infrared before since it is commonly used in incubators for newborns and heat lamps.

Typically, a bathing suit or underwear are ideal for use in our infrared saunas (just be sure it’s free of plastic or metal fasteners or eyelets).

The more water that’s in your body, the more productive your session will be. So we recommend good hydration. We also provide clean towels although you may want to bring an extra or a change of clothes.

Saunas are not advisable for women who are pregnant, anyone with a pacemaker or those who have an inability to sweat.

By heating your core temperature and inducing sweating, infrared saunas increase blood flow and heart rate, much like moderate exercise, and can burn 400-600 calories in just one 30-minute session.

Stay hydrated: Make sure you’re hydrated before going into an infrared sauna. Be sure to drink a glass of our alkaline mineral water before your session. You can also bring water into the sauna as long as it is in a closed, non-spillable container.

Infrared heat is completely safe and all objects give off and receive infrared heat. In fact, it is so safe, hospitals use similar heaters to warm newborns. Infrared is a part of nature and essential for life.

As a premier wellness company, your health and safety are our number one focus. Our heaters are the most effective and safest infrared heaters available. Clearlight Infrared SaunaR models are the only ONLY infrared sauna that cancels out both EMF and ELF Electromagnetic Fields. (EMF) are energy waves with frequencies below 300 hertz or cycles per second. Extremely low frequency (ELF) are the electric fields with frequencies from 3 to 30 hertz.

Our Infrared Saunas offer the lowest and safest EMF and ELF levels of any infrared sauna on the market, bar-none. The EMF levels in your HaloSauna”, will be mostly below 1mg when tested directly on the heater itself. Where you sit in the HaloSauna’M, the EMF levels are virtually Omg. The ELF levels are 3 – 5 times below the threshold of concern. All of the competitors in the sauna industry are over 20 times above the threshold of concern.

Hot Rock Sauna

The recommended duration of a sauna session is 15-20 minutes.

For detoxification, sauna bathers should stay for at least 15 – 25 minutes, at (122° – 140°F) for any detoxification benefits. This amount of time spent in a sauna should be repeated a minimum of 3 times per week in order to gain momentum with your body’s natural detoxification pathways.

Among other benefits, hot rock sauna use can help relax muscles, improve blood flow, and bolster skin health.

The short answer is that it’s generally not recommended to bring your phone into a sauna. The high temperatures and humidity levels can cause damage to your phone’s internal components, and the risk of overheating or even explosion is not worth the convenience of having your phone with you.

Keep hydrated before your sauna experience. One glass of alkaline mineral water before sauna-use is advised, as drinking any more could counteract the detoxification process of the sauna. For longer sauna sessions however, you should drink water during these sessions to be able to continuously replace any fluids lost.

Numerous clinical studies have shown that a infrared/steam sauna is able to remove many toxins through sweat; these include but are not limited to, heavy metals, phthalates, flame retardants, Bisphenol A, pesticides and PCBs.

For your health and safety, the best temperature is between 140-200 degrees Fahrenheit. The average American sticks to 150-175 degrees, while diehard and longtime fans prefer higher temperatures.

The heat in saunas enhances blood circulation. This increased blood flow carries essential nutrients to the skin, promoting cell turnover and rejuvenation. As a result, one can experience a healthier and more vibrant skin appearance. Thanks to the increased circulation, more nutrients can penetrate your skin.

Research has shown that regular sauna use can reduce oxidative stress, a major culprit in the aging process. This means that saunas can help rid the body of harmful toxins and free radicals, promoting healthier skin and a more youthful appearance.

Halotherapy

Halotherapy, also known as dry Salt Therapy is a holistic approach that mimics the microclimate of a salt cave. Dry salt air is dispersed into an enclosed environment through a unique process generated by a Halogenerator. When you heat salt, it becomes super dry, and kinetically more active. This heated and dry pure sodium chloride is then crushed into micro-sized particles and dispersed into the air in an enclosed environment.

Yes. For more information on research, please visit the Global Wellness Institute and the World Halotherapy Association.

Pure “dry” sodium chloride is heated and ground up in a machine called a Halogenerator. The micro-sized crushed salt particles are then dispersed into the air in an enclosed environment.

Dry salt therapy or Halotherapy has been a part of natural wellness since the 19th century.

Halotherapy is a natural treatment however any clients who have any serious health conditions or women who are pregnant should always seek proper medical advice before any type of treatment. As with all wellness services, always check with your doctor before starting any type of treatments if you are taking any medications.

There are typically no side effects other than the taste of salt and potentially thirst or a scratchy throat. However, if someone is on any medications or suffers from any

serious medical issue please seek medical advice before any therapy.

Pharmaceutical grade salt

(99.99% pure sodium chloride). It contains no fillers or caking agents. It comes from a natural source but it is naturally processed to remove all of its impure elements. It’s the same salt that hospitals use and is the same type of salt all the research has been conducted on. We do not recommend Himalayan or sea salt as it is not stripped of all the impurities. There could be dirt, clay or some type of debris that could be harmful to the lungs. It’s very healthy for the digestive system but not for the respiratory system.

Halotherapy offers the best results when practiced regularly. The benefits are cumulative so consistency and frequency are the key. People with chronic issues will benefit greatly if visiting Elements Recovery Zone at least 3-4 times a week. Those who are looking to incorporate Salt Therapy into their regular wellness routine would benefit from a weekly session. Halotherapy has been used on a daily basis without any side effects. But as in all health services, please use your own discretion.

Salt saunas are methodically designed in such a way so that people can relax in a soothing and tranquil environment. It’s a place where one can sit back and experience the salt treatment in a very peaceful and non-stressful setting.

Cold Plunge Therapy

Cold plunges offer a range of health benefits to some people, including reduction of swelling and inflammation, aiding post-workout recovery, relieving sore muscles, reducing the perception of pain from chronic conditions, increasing immunity, and boosting mental health.

Some of the benefits of using a cold plunge may include pain relief, recovery, mental focus, lowering inflammation in the body, and better sleep.

Typically, cold-water plungers start with 30 seconds to a minute and work up to five to 10 minutes at a time.

There are potential risks with cold plunging, including cardiovascular stress and drowning especially for those with heart or respiratory

conditions.

Cold plunge ice baths may have several benefits such as burning body fat, improving insulin resistance, and reducing stress, among others.

As tempting as it is, making a beeline for the sauna, a steamy hot shower or cranking up the car heating after an ice bath isn’t the best idea. After exiting the cold, we’d recommend avoiding any sudden exposure to warm environments.

We suggest wearing a bathing suit or shorts/sports bra.

Anyone with the following conditions should consult a doctor before proceeding with cold water therapy:

  • Heart Disease.
  • High Blood Pressure.
  • Diabetes.
  • Peripheral Neuropathy
  • Poor Circulation.
  • Venous Stasis.
  • Cold Agglutinin Disease
